JIMMY PAGE Says LED ZEPPELIN Reunion Has Not Been Discussed
June 2, 2003Former LED ZEPPELIN guitarist Jimmy Page recently told Launch that work on the new ZEPPELIN DVD and live album have kept him so busy that he hasn't discussed a reunion with singer Robert Plant or bassist-keyboardist John Paul Jones.
"The members of the group have not discussed, if you can believe this...with all the other things we've had to do, like making decisions on covers of DVDs and all the rest of it, nobody has discussed — well, not that I know," Page said. "Nobody has discussed it with me, and I haven't discussed it with anybody else, about actually getting together."
The recently-issued "Led Zeppelin DVD", a two-disc set, and "How The West Was Won", a three-CD set, mark the first-ever official release of these rare and legendary performances, which span the group's entire career. Much-rumored and eagerly anticipated, the DVD and CD sets each contain entirely different material, so there is no overlap between the two releases. As a gesture to the band's millions of fans, both sets are specially priced — the 2-DVD set at 29.98 list, and the 3-CD set at 26.98 list. "Led Zeppelin DVD" is being marketed by Atlantic Records in collaboration with Warner Strategic Marketing.
